THE THINK BUBBLE

As Montenegro transitions from a predominantly tourism and service based economy, it looks to develop many other globally booming industries such as a tech and an entrepreneurial start-up industry that can help to advance Montenegro both on a local and international level. The Think Bubble attempts to take all these factors into account and present an opportunity to re-brand itself on the world stage with this first real investment into the endeavour by creating a world class, and even more so a world-leading high tech building that takes the factor of financial gain in equal stride as the responsibility of the humanistic approach to present something more than just a building, but a symbol of Montenegro’s promise to it’s people to provide an environment in which its people can grow and flourish as much as their country does.

The Think Bubble is positioned as a cultural and technological catalyst for the city of Podgorica by not only providing the means of equipment for these new ideas of technological development within the city and country, but by also providing a space in which those ideas can be explored, a space that is open to all its residents from its youth, to its elderly and anyone and everyone in between. The spaces provided within the building attempt to cater to as wide an audience as possible with the programme being carefully curated and positioned throughout to capitalize on the significance of its location which could be considered as one of the most central areas within the entire city.

With the rapidly changing demand of the contemporary post-pandemic work force being positioned in more of a flexible arrangement, this building takes on a much more open and flexible typical floor plate with both ends of the spectrum of public and private spaces being catered for through a range of both enclosed and open floor plate configurations being provided from open kitchens and open lounge and desk space to more private in single person work booths all the way up to 2, 4, 8 and 12 people work or meeting spaces, with several large scale multi-function spaces also being provided throughout the building from the Podgorica House function space at ground floor directly opposite of Independence Square, through to function spaces / conference rooms at the southern most corner of each typical floor and finally the larger publicly open function space at roof level. The Think Bubble has had the local residents who are the real people of Podgorica in mind through out the entire project process as much as its had the question of “what does this building really need to be?”.
